Learning for life

Autumn 1

We really enjoyed writing the missing narrative from Fortunately, the Milk by Neil Gaiman, based on a series of pictures from the text. We wrote in both formal and informal ways to explain the benefits of milk as well as providing general information about it. We wrote some fantastic informal monologues that provided the reader with clear reasons as to why they don't believe a word of Dad's far-fetched version of events in 'Fortunately The Milk'.

In Maths, we explored adding on thousands from any given number and have been looking at scales and measures and the intervals that are used for these.

In Science we really enjoyed the practical activity of building and testing electrical circuits with bulbs, motors and buzzers and explored a range of materials to find out which are insulators and conductors of electricity.
