School Journey Lower Grange Farm

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you to everyone who has paid their initial deposit to secure a place on our school residential trip to Lower Grange Farm in Maidstone. All places are now taken, but there is a waiting list if any places later become available. Please contact the office if you would like your child to be added to the waiting list.

As stated in the initial letter, the total cost of the trip will be £195. This payment will include all activities, accommodation for two nights, and all food. We have applied for a school journey grant for all pupils attending and you will be notified if you have been awarded this. The grant is currently set at £84, which would therefore bring down the cost to £111. If you are entitled, you will be contacted directly with a confirmation letter; please ensure that you bring this letter to the office as soon as possible so that your payment schedule can be adjusted accordingly.

You do not need to pay the full balance at once. If you would prefer to pay in instalments, the payment schedule is shown below. Please make all payments via School Gateway.

The Year 6 team will arrange a meeting in March for all parents whose children are attending the residential trip where we will explain in more detail about the activities, sleeping arrangements, kit list, etc. A letter will be sent to you in a few weeks confirming the date. However, if you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact the office.

You may also find answers to your questions on the Lower Grange Farm website: https://www.lowergrangefarm.co.uk/spage-schools-residential_trips.html

We are delighted that so many children have signed up, and look forward to helping them make more wonderful memories as their time at Cardwell comes to an end.

During the course of this year, we will also be holding various fundraising events to raise money for the cost of the coach travel to the site. We hope you will continue to support us in our fundraising events.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Perry and Mrs Darroch
